Cam honors ‘Black Panther' star with awesome custom cleats

Good luck finding an NFL quarterback with more style than Cam Newton.

The New England Patriots QB, who's turned heads with his sharp pregame outfits, took the field for warmups at Gillette Stadium rocking an awesome pair of custom cleats before Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Newton again paid tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who starred as King T'Challa in "Black Panther" and died on Aug. 28 after a long battle with colon cancer.

The QB apparently was a big fan of Boseman, as he also honored the late actor after his first touchdown as a Patriot in Week 1.

Perry: Don't hold your breath on Cam Newton extension

The QB's cleats featured a nod to his own superhero persona, as well, with himself in a Superman outfit on his left cleat. We're sure Carolina Panthers fans will appreciate that light blue color scheme, too.

(Speaking of light blue -- Newton looked predictably impeccable Sunday morning while arriving to Gillette Stadium in a crisp blazer.)

Newton has gotten plenty of use out of his feet so far in New England, rushing for 122 yards and four touchdowns through two games.
