Patriots to play undefeated Chiefs on Sunday Night Football

The list of undefeated teams five weeks into the NFL season is usually short.

This year is no different. The Kansas City Chiefs and the LA Rams are the only teams that can lay claim to the title of "undefeated" after a quarter of the season.

With their victory over Jacksonville on Sunday, the Chiefs ensured that they would continue to be able to hold that title. The next team on their list? The New England Patriots.

The Patriots will play Kansas City on Sunday Night Football next week. The Chiefs have the most explosive offense in the NFL to this point, led by first-year starter and gunslinger Patrick Mahomes III.

The Patriots come off of two consecutive 30+ point weeks, and have once again righted their ship after a few shaky outings to open the season.

It should be an offensive showdown for the ages, as Andy Reid has shown in the past that he's more than capable of marching into Foxborough and tearing apart the Patriots' defense. Meanwhile, Tom Brady finally has a complete cast of offensive playmakers with the return of Julian Edelman and gradual emergence of Josh Gordon and Sony Michel.

The best offense in the league against Tom Brady. Sunday Night Football will be a must-watch.
