Patriots players, NFL Twitter seem to disagree on team's new uniforms

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder -- especially when it comes to the New England Patriots' new uniforms.

The Patriots unveiled a fresh set of 2020 threads Monday, adopting their alternate blue "Color Rush" jerseys as their primary home uniforms while overhauling their away whites.

Not that you'd expect them to say otherwise, but members of the 2020 Patriots seemed on board with the change.

Again, you wouldn't expect any player to publicly dump on his own uniform.

But many Patriots and NFL fans with the freedom to express their opinions were a bit less kind to the new look.

That's a small sampling, and there's still a good portion of fans who enjoy New England's first uniform change in 20 years.

But a larger portion seemed either lukewarm on the new threads or disappointed the Patriots aren't resurfacing the red "Pat Patriot" throwbacks they wore in 2009.

Most uniform and/or logo changes face immediate social media backlash (looking at you, Los Angeles Rams), and relatively speaking, the Patriots emerged OK here.

Fans will get used to the new uniforms just as they'll get used to life after Tom Brady -- although the latter might take a little longer.
