Patriots QB Tom Brady's stats in Miami aren't as bad as you might think

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has had more trouble winning in Miami than most other NFL cities, but his stats on the road against the Dolphins aren't as bad as you might think.

The Patriots have won just seven of the 17 games that Brady has played in Miami, including last season's shocking loss on a 69-yard touchdown as time expired now known as "The Miami Miracle."

Brady's individual performances in Miami often have been impressive. He played well in that 2018 matchup, completing 27 of 43 passes for 358 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. In fairness, his decision not to call a timeout at the end of the first half might have cost the Patriots valuable points.

Here are Brady's career stats in Miami, per Pro Football Reference:

W/L: 7-10
Cmp %: 62.1
Yds/Game: 257
TD: 33
INT: 15
Rating: 92.3

Fantasy football owners are expecting another strong game from Brady in Miami this weekend, and with good reason.

The Dolphins defense gave up 59 points to the Baltimore Ravens in a Week 1 loss at Hard Rock Stadium. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for 324 yards with five touchdowns and zero interceptions. We wouldn't be surprised if Brady put up a similar stat line in Week 2 against a Dolphins secondary that lacks talent and is dealing with injuries.
