The Kai Forbath era in New England has come to an end.

After joining the Patriots for Sunday night's game against the Texans, Forbath was waived by the team on Monday according to ESPN's Field Yates.

The Patriots also reportedly claimed defensive tackle Albert Huggins off waivers from the Eagles.

Forbath hit a 23-yard field goal and went 1-of-2 in extra point attempts in the Patriots' 28-22 loss to the Texans. New England waiving the 32-year-old could mean Folk is ready to return after undergoing an appendectomy.

As for Huggins, he's a 6-foot-3, 305-pounder who can fill in for the injured Byron Cowart (head).
