Patriots' Rob Gronkowski returns to the injury report

FOXBORO -- Well then. That didn't last long.

Rob Gronkowski is back on the Patriots injury report after a one-day hiatus with ankle and back issues. He was announced by the team as a limited participant in Thursday's practice.

Gronkowski was removed from the injury report entirely following Sunday's win over the Jets, in which he played 69 of a possible 70 snaps. It was the first time he had not been on the injury report since the Wednesday prior to his team's Week 3 game in Detroit.

If someone takes anything "less than 100 percent of a player's normal repetitions" they can be listed as limited in practice.
