The New England Patriots will play their final road game of the regular season in Sunday's Week 15 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The defending Super Bowl champions are desperate for a win after two consecutive losses. The Patriots have not lost three or more games in a row since 2002, and another defeat Sunday could drop them from the No. 2 seed to the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoff picture, which would put them in significant danger of not earning a first-round playoff bye.

On paper, this game is a complete mismatch. The Patriots defense is one of the NFL's best and should limit a bad Bengals offense that's largely responsible for their league-worst 1-12 record. The Patriots offense has been pretty bad of late, too, and if Tom Brady and Co. don't jump out to a quick lead, this game could get surprisingly competitive.

And, of course, there's the story of the Patriots being investigated by the NFL for videotaping the Bengals' sideline during Cincinnati's Week 14 road game in Cleveland. This investigation is still ongoing, as of this writing.

Will the Patriots earn a much-needed victory, or will the Bengals shock the world and hand New England a potentially devastating loss in the AFC playoff race?
