Patriots vs. Dolphins inactives: Antonio Brown to play, Marcus Cannon out

Share

Antonio Brown is active and will make his New England Patriots debut Sunday.

The Patriots are in Miami to take on the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium, and they are about to add an elite wide receiver to an already high-powered offense. Brown officially signed with the Patriots on Monday, and after practicing all week, he is not among the inactives the team announced Sunday.

Jakobi Meyers is the wide receiver who's inactive to make room for Brown's arrival into the offense. The undrafted rookie tallied one reception in his NFL debut last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Two other rookies, running back Damien Harris and cornerback Joejuan Williams, both are inactive for the second consecutive week.

Another notable player on the list of inactives is starting right tackle Marcus Cannon. He exited Sunday's game versus the Steelers in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury and was limited in practice all week.

Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy is set to make his season debut after missing last week’s game to be with his wife as they welcomed their first child.

Here are the Week 2 inactives for the Patriots and Dolphins.
