Patriots-Dolphins Week 15 inactives: Miami down three key skill players

Share

Both the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins will have limited offensive weaponry Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Patriots will be without starting running back Damien Harris and wide receiver Donte Moncrief, who were both ruled out Saturday.

The Dolphins, meanwhile, have ruled out three key offensive skill players -- wide receivers DeVante Parker and Jakeem Grant and tight end Mike Gesicki -- for the Week 15 matchup.

Parker and Gesicki are by far Miami's top two pass-catchers this season, combining for 100 of the team's 288 receptions, 1,279 of its 3,123 receiving yards and 10 of its 21 receiving touchdowns.

Grant ranks third on the Dolphins with 330 receiving yards on 31 catches, so rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will have to solve Bill Belichick's defense without his top three targets in the passing game.

Also sidelined for New England are cornerback Joejuan Williams, tight end Jordan Thomas and quarterback Brian Hoyer. Running back J.J. Taylor joins Sony Michel and James White in the Patriots' backfield with Harris and Rex Burkhead (injured reserve) sidelined.
