Patriots vs. Jaguars: 2017 AFC Championship Game
The Patriots hope to be holding the Lamar Hunt Trophy as AFC champions again once again. Here are some facts and stats that may shed a little light on whether or not they will.
All of the teams in the NFL's final four are stingy when it comes to allowing points.
But when it comes to giving up yards, the Pats aren't quite as stingy.
The Steelers' offense blew holes in the Jaguars' vaunted defense last week. Can the Pats do the same?
One thing's for certain: Passing against Jacksonville may be difficult against a secondary that features a loudmouth (Jalen Ramsey) and Jaylen Brown's cousin (A.J. Bouye).
It may be tough for the Pats' offense to throw against the Jaguars, and it may be tough for their defense to stop the run.
But when it comes to putting pressure on the quarterback, the Pats over the last month or so take a back seat to no one . . . even Sacksonville.
And if New England can get Jacksonville to turn the ball over . . .
But it would behoove the Pats to keep the Jags out of the red zone . . . and vice-versa.
In the end, the Patriots would probably settle for a repeat of their last meeting with Jacksonville.
