Patriots vs. Rams Week 14 Injury Report: Newton among several players limited

Patriots

The New England Patriots didn't practice Monday after their Week 13 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, so their first Week 14 injury report projects the status of players if the team had done on-field work.

The report released Monday lists 14 Patriots players as limited, including quarterback Cam Newton due to an abdomen issue. Newton was questionable to play versus the Chargers with an abdomen injury but ended up starting and helped lead the team's 45-0 blowout victory

Several important defensive players for the Patriots also are listed as limited, including cornerbacks J.C. Jackson and Jonathan Jones, defensive linemen Adam Butler and Lawrence Guy, as well as linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley.

These players won't have much time to recover before New England's next game Thursday night against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium. The Rams had just four players on their Monday injury report, which was an estimation because they also didn't practice.

Here are the first Week 14 injury reports for the Patriots and Rams, as released by the teams.
