The New England Patriots won their sixth Super Bowl in team history Sunday with a 13-3 triumph over the Los Angeles Rams at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and Tom Brady was not the game's MVP.

Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was named Super Bowl LIII MVP after tallying 10 receptions for 141 yards on 12 targets from Brady. Oddsmakers pegged Edelman at 20-1 to win MVP before the game.

He's the second wide receiver in Patriots history to win Super Bowl MVP -- Deion Branch won it in Super Bowl XXXIX. Edelman is the first wideout to claim this award since former Pittsburgh Steelers star Santonio Holmes in Super Bowl XLIII.

The 32-year-old star also moved into second place on the NFL's all-time playoff receiving yards leaderboard, passing Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin.
