Who is currently the best quarterback in the NFL? Is Cam Newton on the upswing? Is Tom Brady finally showing his age? Our DJ Bean ranks all 32 quarterbacks ahead of Week 10.

We're halfway through the NFL season, and though one quarterback has had the top spot since Week 1, someone else has finally surpassed him.

(You're not stupid. I'm talking about Russell Wilson and Patrick Mahomes. Let's rank some quarterbacks.)

2/31

Last week's ranking: N/A

Week 9 stats: 24-of-32, 325 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT

Season stats: 67.3 completion %, 362 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT

While it's a touching story that Alex Smith is starting games again, it's absolutely insane that the Football Team isn't taking the opportunity to give it another go with Dwayne Haskins.

3/31

Last week's ranking: 31

Week 9 stats: 21-of-38, 243 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 28 rush yards

Season stats: 21-of-38, 243 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 28 rush yards

The Cowboys have a bye this week, after which Andy Dalton will return as starter. Given the Cowboys' luck this season, though, it might not be the last we see of Gilbert.

4/31

Last week's ranking: 28

Week 9 stats: 23-of-34, 212 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT

Season stats: 62.4 completion %, 208.7 yards/game, 8 TD, 9 INT, 320 rush yards

On one hand, Jones has more touchdowns than picks over the last four weeks. On the other, he has just six passing touchdowns over the last eight weeks.

5/31

Last week's ranking: 29

Week 9 stats: 27-of-35, 274 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT, 2 rush TD

Season stats: 68.1 completion %, 202.4 yards/game, 2 TD, 7 INT, 314 rush yards, 8 rush TD

A couple weeks ago, Josh Allen had basically the same passing performance against the Jets that Newton just did. People used that game to say Allen stunk, so I'm not about to take it as a particularly encouraging sign for Newton.

Why are Pats sticking with Newton? It's got something to do with Stidham

Last week's ranking: 32

Week 9 stats: 26-of-38, 304 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 1 rush TD

Season stats: 26-of-38, 304 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 1 rush TD

I love Jaguars quarterbacks. The team sets them up to fail, then they play pretty well. I kind of hope Luton screws up their draft pick.

7/31

Last week's ranking: 27

Week 9 stats: BYE

Season stats: 58.4 completion %, 235.4 yards/game, 12 TD, 12 INT, 202 rush yards, 5 rush TD

What stinks about Wentz' season from hell is that we can't just look away. Every game the Eagles play is going to matter because they're leading the NFC East.

8/31

Last week's ranking: N/A

Week 9 stats: 18-of-25, 262 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT

Season stats: 56.7 completion %, 164.8 yards/game, 4 TD, 2 INT

It's unclear whether Flacco can still play a little bit (unlikely) or if the Patriots just stink. I'm going with the latter.

Last week's ranking: 26

Week 9 stats: 22-of-35, 291 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

Season stats: 68.4 completion %, 228.6 yards/game, 5 TD, 4 INT

No matter what Mullens does Sunday, he'll have had the best performance against the Saints by a quarterback over the last two weeks.

10/31

Last week's ranking: 24

Week 9 stats: 36-of-52, 335 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

Season stats: 65.6 completion %, 249.4 yards/game, 10 TD, 7 INT, 1 rush TD

Foles hasn't been very good, but he was fine against the Titans. Still, the Bears are 2-3 in games with Foles as a starter. Especially with the bye coming up after this week, he should show out against the Vikings if he wants to prevent any talk of the team going back to Mitch Trubisky, who's week-to-week with a shoulder injury.

11/31

Last week's ranking: 23

Week 9 stats: 20-of-28, 248 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 35 rush yards

Season stats: 34-of-52, 350 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT

Justin Herbert has been the best rookie quarterback this season, but Tagovailoa could be the only one of the group to actually reach the playoffs. The 5-3 Dolphins are probably thinking that after an impressive win against the Cardinals.

12/31

Last week's ranking: 25

Week 9 stats: 25-of-48, 313 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 47 rush yards, 1 rush TD

Season stats: 56.5 completion %, 206.7 yards/game, 6 TD, 6 INT, 58 rush yards, 2 rush TD

The Broncos might have something with Lock and Jerry Jeudy, who connected seven times for 125 yards Sunday against the Falcons.

13/31

Last week's ranking: 21 (under "whoever starts for the Lions")

Week 9 stats: 23-of-32, 211 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT

Season stats: 62.6 completion %, 265.9 yards/game, 14 TD, 7 INT

Stafford is better than this ranking, but he had a bad game against the Vikings and has only had one performance of multiple touchdowns in his last four games.

14/31

Last week's ranking: 18

Week 9 stats: BYE

Season stats: 61.4 completion %, 189.3 yards/game, 15 TD, 7 INT

Mayfield's only a couple weeks removed from a five-touchdown game against the Bengals. He comes off the bye facing a Texans team that just allowed 300-plus yards to Luton.

15/31

Last week's ranking: 20

Week 9 stats: 13-of-20, 220 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT

Season stats: 65.6 completion %, 231.9 yards/game, 15 TD, 10 INT

Cousins is coming off his best game of the season and the Vikings have won two in a row. At 3-5, the chances are improving that they won't have a good enough pick to draft Cousins' replacement.

16/31

Last week's ranking: 17

Week 9 stats: 25-of-43, 227 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT

Season stats: 67.9 completion %, 260.9 yards/game, 10 TD, 7 INT

Rivers stunk against the Ravens. He's slightly less back than usual, but he's still back.

17/31

Last week's ranking: 19

Week 9 stats: 36-of-49, 310 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 1 rush TD

Season stats: 71.9 completion %, 268.4 yards/game, 11 TD, 6 INT

Poor Bridgewater. He's not very good, his team has lost four games in a row and now the Bucs are going to take out their embarrassment on him.

18/31

Last week's ranking: 16

Week 9 stats: BYE

Season stats: 67.0 completion %, 284.0 yards/game, 11 TD, 5 INT, 130 rush yards, 3 rush TD

Burrow and the Bengals surprised the Titans before Cincinnati's bye. Can they break up the Steelers' perfect season after it? I'm guessing no.

19/31

Last week's ranking: 14

Week 9 stats: BYE

Season stats: 65.5 completion %, 268.1 yards/game, 13 TD, 6 INT, 2 rush TD

Jared Goff is the luckiest man in the world. Why? Because not only does he get to face the Seahawks this week, he had a full extra week to prepare for all the yards he's about to compile.

20/31

Last week's ranking: 15

Week 9 stats: 25-of-35, 284 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT

Season stats: 67.2 completion %, 305.1 yards/game, 15 TD, 5 INT, 1 rush TD

Don't look now, but the Falcons are winners of three of four. It was never Ryan's fault they were losing in the first place.

21/31

Last week's ranking: 10

Week 9 stats: 19-of-23, 170 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT, 58 rush yards, 1 rush rush TD

Season stats: 62.9 completion %, 189.1 yards/game, 12 TD, 4 INT, 469 rush yards, 3 rush TD

This is the lowest Jackson has been ranked this season, but don't worry. He's about to play a Patriots defense that got lit up by Joe Flacco.

Why Jackson 'can't wait' to go up against Cam Newton Sunday
22/31

Last week's ranking: 13

Week 9 stats: 13-of-23, 165 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

Season stats: 69.8 completion %, 250.3 yards/game, 16 TD, 2 INT

Carr remains clean and boring. If his defense didn't give up a ton of points, the Raiders would have a little more breathing room for a Wild Card spot.

23/31

Last week's ranking: 4

Week 9 stats: 22-of-38, 209 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT

Season stats: 65.4 completion %, 266.4 yards/game, 20 TD, 7 INT, 2 rush TD

Brady got his ass kicked by the Saints, then his coach threw shade at him for not throwing to Mike Evans. That's now two games with multiple picks against the Saints for Brady this season.

24/31

Last week's ranking: 11

Week 9 stats: 19-of-32, 281 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 50 rush yards

Season stats: 68.3 completion %, 297.0 yards/game, 17 TD, 5 INT, 197 rush yards, 1 rush TD

The Texans barely beat the Jaguars, but that's because the defense couldn't stop a rookie sixth-round quarterback making his NFL debut.

25/31

Last week's ranking: 12

Week 9 stats: 31-of-38, 415 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 1 rush TD

Season stats: 68.9 completion %, 287.4 yards/game, 19 TD, 5 INT, 241 rush yards, 5 rush TD

Top-10 Allen is back! Thank you, Seahawks defense. We knew we could count on you.

26/31

Last week's ranking: 8

Week 9 stats: 28-of-42, 326 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

Season stats: 67.3 completion %, 306.6 yards/game, 17 TD, 5 INT, 166 rush yards, 2 rush TD

I said it last week, but it's even more appropriate now: Herbert is pretty much guaranteed to go off, just as the Chargers are pretty much guaranteed to find a way to lose the game.

27/31

Last week's ranking: 9

Week 9 stats: 26-of-32, 222 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT

Season stats: 74.0 completion %, 265.0 yards/game, 17 TD, 3 INT, 2 rush TD

This is the highest Brees has been on this list, but at some point you have to acknowledge that he really hasn't done anything wrong this season. Having Alvin Kamara is kind of like cheating, though.

28/31

Last week's ranking: 7

Week 9 stats: 21-of-26, 283 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 106 rush yards, 1 rush TD

Season stats: 68.1 completion %, 266.3 yards/game, 16 TD, 7 INT, 543 rush yards, 8 rush TD

Murray's gotten better over the course of the season, most recently in the form of a four-touchdown performance against the Dolphins. He's playing a Bills defense this week that just shut down Russell Wilson, so that will be a huge test.

29/31

Last week's ranking: 5

Week 9 stats: 10-of-21, 158 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT

Season stats: 65.7 completion %, 247.6 yards/game, 19 TD, 3 INT, 1 rush TD

Tannehill has stayed afloat since losing his left tackle for the season in mid-October. He wasn't sensational against the Bears in Week 9, but no one's supposed to be against that defense.

30/31

Last week's ranking: 6

Week 9 stats: 29-of-42, 306 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT

Season stats: 68.1 completion %, 241.8 yards/game, 18 TD, 4 INT

Roethlisberger is on the reserve/COVID-19 list as of this writing, but the Steelers are carrying on like he'll be available this week. The team's halfway to a perfect season (LOL). They should probably be able to keep it going against the Bengals even if Roethlisberger isn't there.

31/31

Last week's ranking: 3

Week 9 stats: 25-of-31, 305 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT

Season stats: 67.5 completion %, 281.6 yards/game, 24 TD, 2 INT

Rodgers had that bad game against the Bucs a few weeks ago, but that's been the only subpar performance all season. Since that Week 6 loss, he's thrown 15 touchdowns and no picks.
