The Los Angeles Rams had the second-highest scoring offense during the regular season (32.9 points per game) and averaged 28 points over their first two playoff games, but they were totally shut down by the New England Patriots defense in Super Bowl LIII.

The Patriots held the Rams without a touchdown in a 13-3 victory Sunday night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. It was New England's best defensive performance of the season, and it included four sacks and a late interception by All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

Here's the best reaction from the Rams following their Super Bowl LIII loss to the Patriots.

--Rams head coach Sean McVay admitted he was outcoached by Bill Belichick.

--Rams defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and the L.A. defense played well, giving up just 13 points. But it still wasn't enough.

--Rams defensive star Aaron Donald is confident this won't be his team's only trip to the Super Bowl.

--Rams running back C.J. Anderson ran for just 22 yards on seven carries.

--Todd Gurley led the Rams with 35 rushing yards, and he didn't make much of an impact.

--Los Angeles offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth put things in perspective.
