Report: Guerrero on Patriots team plane to Carolina

Tom Brady's controversial personal trainer and business partner Alex Guerrero, who had been banned from team flights and the sidelines of Patriots games, is on the team plane for the trip to Carolina for the preseason game Friday, Mike Giardi of the NFL Network reported.

But according to Jim McBride of the Boston Globe, Guerrero will not be on the sideline for the game.

Our own Phil Perry confirms the reports.

Brady, with Guerrero, founded the TB12 Sports Therapy Center - which includes a location at Patriot Place near Gillette Stadium.  Bill Belichick had allowed Guerrero to have an office near the Patriots locker room, fly on the team charter to road games, and receive credentials to work the sidelines of every game, home and away.

Belichick revoked those privileges last season.

An ESPN story in January characterized Guerrero as a divisive force with the Patriots.  Guerrero also worked with Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, tight end Rob Gronkowski and other players on the team. Edelman will serve an NFL-imposed four-game suspension for the first four regular-season games after he tested positive for PEDs this offseason. Brady abruptly ended a training camp press conference earlier this summer when asked about the Edelman suspension and its possible connection to Guerrero.

Here's more on the Guerrero-Brady-Belichick relationship from NBC Sports Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran.
