The Pats filed tampering charges against the Texans for their pursuit of Caserio, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

According to ProFootballTalk, the Patriots are using photos, videos, and other proof of interactions between Texans executive Jack Easterby and Caserio at last Thursday night's Super Bowl ring ceremony as evidence of tampering. Houston's previous GM, Brian Gaine, was fired the day after the ceremony.

Easterby was New England's character coach for six seasons before joining the Texans.

The Texans formally requested to interview Caserio for the open GM position on Monday.

Caserio has been New England's director of player personnel since 2008.
