Report: Patriots reach out to Danny Woodhead

Share

Get excited, Pats fans. They might sign that old player everyone loved.

Woodhead finishing his career in New England would be a feel-good story, though there are obvious factors that make its logic questionable. For one, Woodhead would be redundant given that the Pats have James White and the recently re-upped Rex Burkhead. Furthermore, Woodhead is 33 and has been limited to 10 games by injury over the last two seasons.

Woodhead played three seasons for the Patriots before signing with the Chargers in 2013. After four seasons in San Diego, Woodhead played one season with the Ravens before being released this week.
