Josh McDaniels provided a measure of stability to the Patriots coaching staff when he made the decision to stay on offensive coordinator (which, presumably, will keep Pats assistants Joe Judge and Jerry Schuplinski -- who were expected to follow McDaniels to Indianapolis -- in Foxboro, as well). Now another domino has fallen into place:
Schiano was rumored to be line to become Matt Patricia's replacement as defensive coordinator. Since that won't happen, the Pats are expected to turn to their highly regarded linebackers coach, Brian Flores, as their next DC. Flores was a finalist for the head coaching job in Arizona, losing out to Steve Wilks.
