Add another factor to the New England Patriots' quarterback competition.
Second-year QB Jarrett Stidham has been dealing with "discomfort from a leg injury" for the last few days and may be limited in practice Friday, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Mike Giardi reported Friday.
Stidham has struggled at times during the first few days of training camp, throwing two interceptions during a team session of Thursday's practice and three picks Tuesday.
The 24-year-old doesn't have much room for error: He's competing with a three-time Pro Bowler in Cam Newton who's the clear favorite to win the starting job if he stays healthy.
Perry: Is Newton beginning to distance himself in QB competition?
It doesn't appear Stidham's injury is too serious, but it's certainly worth monitoring, as practice time is valuable this month after players missed on-field reps earlier this summer.
