Report: Trump finds time to talk Brady with Belichick

With the Mueller investigation continuing, the Stormy Daniels saga swirling and negotiations for a summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in full swing, what’s been on President Donald Trump’s mind this week?

Tom Brady’s status with Patriots, of course.

The New York Times reports that the President spent some time on the phone with Bill Belichick talking about the Pats QB, who has missed the first part of the team’s offseason training program in Foxboro, but has been working out and answering questions in Los Angeles.

Kelly in the New York Times story refers to the President’s chief of staff, John Kelly.

Several times on the campaign trail, the President referenced Brady, Belichick and Pats owner Robert Kraft - he’s friendly with the trio, if you hadn’t heard - and famously read a letter written to Trump by the Patriots coach at a New Hampshire rally.

So, if there is indeed a rift among the coach, owner and QB, as has been reported, the President is on the case.
