Reports: Former Pats RB Bolden to sign with Dolphins

Running back Brandon Bolden was cut by the Patriots last September but re-signed with them two days later.

That won't happen again this season. Bolden, 28, the veteran special-teamer cut again Saturday, will sign with the Miami Dolphins, according to multiple reports.

With New England since 2012, Bolden was considered a versatile special teams performer and locker room leader. Salguero reports that the Pats again "tried to convince Bolden to return. The Dolphins obviously won that contract battle."

He scored eight touchdowns and averaged 4.2 yards per carry in his six-year Pats career.
