Six quarterbacks favored over Tom Brady in latest 2019 NFL MVP odds

Tom Brady has three NFL MVP trophies on his mantle, but the Patriots quarterback is an underdog to win his fourth in 2019.

As training camp gets underway, Brady is tied with Browns QB Baker Mayfield for seventh-best odds among quarterbacks (+1200) to be the league's Most Valuable Player. Chiefs signal-caller and 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes is the favorite at +400.

Here are the updated MVP odds, via Caesars Palace:

Just last month, Mahomes, Andrew Luck, and Carson Wentz were the only three QBs with better odds than Brady. Now we can add Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, and Russell Wilson to the list.

Rob Gronkowski's absence certainly doesn't help Brady's cause, and neither does the current state of the Patriots' wide receiver depth chart. But as he's proved time and time again, the soon-to-be 42-year-old is capable of doing more with less.

Even if his fourth MVP award is out of reach, you can bet on Brady being far more focused on Super Bowl ring No. 7.
