The Super Bowl LV matchup everyone wanted has become a reality.

The Kansas City Chiefs will try to become the first team to win back-to-back championships since the 2003 and 2004 New England Patriots when they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Feb. 7 at Raymond James Stadium.

Tom Brady was the quarterback of those legendary Patriots teams, and he'll try to lead the Buccaneers to another title when they host the Chiefs at their home stadium.

Brady led the Bucs to a 31-26 win over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game at Lambeau Field on Sunday afternoon. A few hours later, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City to a 38-21 victory against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium.

It's tough to bet against Brady in a Super Bowl. He's won six Super Bowl titles in nine previous appearances -- both are NFL records -- and no one plays better in big games than the 43-year-old quarterback.

That said, the Chiefs are deservedly favored ahead of this matchup.

Curran: Brady’s win a loss of Ruthian proportions for Pats

They went 14-2 in the regular season and beat two good teams in the Cleveland Browns and Bills en route to the AFC title. Kansas City's offense is the best in the league, led by Mahomes and the many weapons around him, including wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce.

These teams squared off in Week 12 in Tampa Bay, where the Chiefs won 27-24 in a game that wasn't as close as the final score would indicate.

Mahomes and Brady have played head-to-head four times, with each quarterback winning twice. The winner of the fifth matchup will have the upper hand in the head-to-head series and walk away with another Lombardi Trophy.
