Tom Brady fired up for preseason game vs. Panthers: 'Let's go, baby!"

Tom Brady looks like someone who's ready to take the field for the first time this preseason.

The New England Patriots quarterback arrived in style for Thursday night's matchup vs. the Carolina Panthers, donning a Cam Newton-style top hat and saying "let's go, baby."

Watch:

While there's no official word yet on whether Brady will get any playing time, he said earlier this week he hopes this is the week he'll be out there.

It would make sense for this to be Brady's first appearance as the Panthers are expected to play Newton, Christian McCaffrey, and the rest of their starters vs. the Patriots.

If Brady sits for a third straight game, expect a heavy dose of rookie Jarrett Stidham as he aims to keep his impressive preseason going.

NFL rumors: Patriots activate Isaiah Wynn in huge boost for offensive line

NFL rumors: Patriots activate Isaiah Wynn in huge boost for offensive line

The New England Patriots offensive line is about to receive a huge boost.

Talented left tackle Isaiah Wynn has been activated to the 53-man roster, the Boston Globe's Jim McBride reported Tuesday. ESPN's Mike Reiss reported earlier in the day the Patriots planned to place rookie wide receiver Gunner Olszewski on injured reserve to create a roster spot for Wynn's return.

The Patriots had until Wednesday to activate Wynn.

Wynn played very well early this season before suffering a foot injury in New England's Week 2 victory over the Miami Dolphins. He went on injured reserve immediately after, giving the Patriots another injury to overcome along the offensive line.

The second-year left tackle returned to practice on Oct. 30. Wynn, who was one of two first-round draft picks made by the Patriots in 2018, missed all of his 2018 rookie season with a torn Achilles.

The Patriots will host the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday's Week 12 matchup at Gillette Stadium.

Patriots Report Card: Another dominant effort for defense, special teams vs. Eagles

Patriots Report Card: Another dominant effort for defense, special teams vs. Eagles

After giving up a demoralizing 95-yard touchdown drive, Sunday looked like it could be another long day for the Patriots defense.

But New England was able to rebound from that early punch and shut Carson Wentz and Co. down after that score, shutting them out for the rest of the game.

Combined with a great outing from the Pats' special teams, two-thirds of the team turned in a performance worthy of high grades in Phil Perry's weekly Patriots report card.

... And then there's the offense. N'Keal Harry made his NFL debut and Julian Edelman threw a nifty TD strike to Phillip Dorsett, but that's about all the highlights for an offensive unit still looking to find its groove.

How does all of that translate into grades?
