Tom Brady: ‘I feel like I'm ready to go' vs. Vikings

FOXBORO -- Tom Brady has been limited in practice this week due to a knee injury, but he says he's fine for Sunday. In fact, when asked if he's been at all limited in his preparations for the Vikings, he said he hasn't been.

"No. I feel like I'm ready to go," Brady said. "Excited for the game . . . I think everyone's dealing with different things. Hopefully we can go out there and play and play well."

Brady's clearly dealing with something. The knee has been an issue. (He missed last Friday's practice with his knee issue and an illness.) His other knee appeared bruised on the CBS broadcast Sunday afternoon. His right hand was cut against the Jets as well.

But dealing with injuries has become part of the deal for the 41-year-old quarterback.

"I haven't missed many games by injury over the course of my career," he said when asked if he's managing bumps and bruises any better now than he used to. "I think early on it was probably being pretty naive. I think the second half of my career has probably been a little smarter. Those two things have worked well at different times."

On Westwood One's Thursday Night Football broadcast with Jim Gray, Brady was asked if his knee might impair him during the game Sunday.

"I certainly hope not," he said. "It's one thing to say 'yes,' and another thing to say 'no.' But in my view, I feel really good, and I feel really excited for the game. So hopefully I can go out there and be the best I can be."
