Brady or Mahomes? Bucs' McCoy has interesting answer

LeSean McCoy has had the fortune of playing with some great quarterbacks during his 11-year NFL career.

That trend will continue in 2020 as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back will get the chance to play alongside ex-New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, and he seems pretty excited about the opportunity.

During a Q&A with Bucs fans, McCoy was asked to name the best QB he's ever played with. He picked Brady over Patrick Mahomes, Mike Vick, and Donovan McNabb even though he has yet to play a down with Brady as his signal-caller.

“It would be Tom Brady for sure,” McCoy said. “Brady would be number one obviously, even though we haven’t played a game. It would go Brady, Mahomes, and then Mike Vick and Donovan McNabb.”

Obviously, McCoy picked Brady because he's a six-time Super Bowl champion and arguably the greatest QB of all time. But naming Brady as his No. 1 after playing with Mahomes for a full season just shows how much respect he has for the 43-year-old.

McCoy will share carries in the Bucs backfield with Ronald Jones, rookie Ke'Shawn Vaughn and the newly-acquired Leonard Fournette. He'll play his first game with Brady as his QB on Sept. 13 vs. the New Orleans Saints.
