New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has provided a lot of wisdom into how he's performed so well under pressure on the NFL's biggest stages. The best quote, however, came from an interview Brady did with Steve Sabol of NFL Films after winning Super Bowl XXXVI over the St. Louis Rams.

Sabol asks Brady if he's "afraid of peaking at this point?" He brought up Dan Marino, who, like Brady, went to the Super Bowl in his second season. Unlike Brady, Marino lost that Super Bowl and never returned. Sabol says, "has that every crossed your mind that, 'boy, I might never be back here again?'"

Brady gave the exact answer you'd expect, then went into detail about how his favorite ring is "the next one." Check out the remarkable exchange in the NFL Films' Throwback Thursday video below.

Brady will play in his ninth Super Bowl on Sunday when the Patriots battle the Los Angeles Rams at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. A victory for the Patriots would be their sixth championship with Brady at quarterback and Bill Belichick as head coach.

No matter how much longer Brady plays, he's going to feel like he can reach and win the Super Bowl as long as he's on the field. That type of mentality is a common denominator among the greatest champions in sports.
