For the first time since he last played in the Pro Bowl in 2005, Tom Brady will play football in something other than a New England Patriots uniform. And even that AFC Pro Bowl jersey had a small Patriots logo on it. You've got to go back to Brady, wearing No. 10 for Michigan and leading the Wolverines to a 35-34 comeback victory over Alabama in overtime in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 1, 2000 for his last non-Patriots game.
With Brady leaving the Patriots after 20 years to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he'll join a long list of legends who have played the twilight years of their careers in a uniform that many look back and don't remember them ever wearing.
Brady, no doubt hoping to be more Joe Montana-as-a-Chief (two playoff appearances including an AFC Championship Game) than Manny Ramirez-as-a-Ray (1-for-17 in five forgettable games), will take his talents to central Florida in the not-so-recognizable red and pewter of the Bucs.
