Tom Brady will grant Joe Mixon's wish after seeing Bengals RB's tweet

Fortunately for Joe Mixon, Tom Brady reads his tweets.

Mixon tweeted after his Cincinnati Bengals lost 34-13 to the New England Patriots on Sunday that he wished he had asked Brady for his jersey when the two met on the field.

On Monday morning, Brady confirmed he'll hook the young Bengals running back up.

"I’m gonna send him one, because I saw that last night," Brady said on WEEI's "The Greg Hill Show." "That was pretty cool."

Furthermore, the Patriots quarterback had pretty high praise for Mixon, who gashed New England's defense for 136 rushing yards on 25 carries Sunday.

"I feel the same way about so many of these young players that inspire me," Brady said. "I mean, that guy is one of the great running backs in the league."

Players constantly seek Brady out after games to ask for his jersey or simply shake hands with the six-time Super Bowl champion.

The 42-year-old said Monday he welcomes those interactions, because he once was in those players' shoes -- even if it was a long time ago.

"I understand kind of how it goes," Brady said. "You see these guys playing on TV and then you meet them, and it's surreal.

"I've been around Joe Montana and Steve Young and Jerry Rice and Brett Favre, some of the greats, and I feel the same way about them. So, it's just part of our nature.

"The NFL has a camaraderie, and for as hard as we play and as violent as the game is, there's a lot of respect that you really find in contact sports, because you realize the level of commitment and dedication that it takes."

Because of that camaraderie, Mixon is about to receive a one-of-a-kind present from the GOAT.
