Is Twitter helping Gilmore scout Bills, WR Diggs?

If New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore locks up Stefon Diggs this season, he might want to send Bleacher Report a holiday card.

Bleacher Report's "B/R Gridiron" Twitter account tried to hype up the Bills' new quarterback-wide receiver duo Wednesday by sharing a video from Buffalo's training camp (courtesy of WIVB's Josh Reed) of Josh Allen hitting Diggs on a post-corner route.

Some saw the video as evidence of Diggs' fancy footwork. Gilmore saw it as an opportunity to do some advance scouting.

Who knew Twitter could help the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year with his film homework?

As some salty Bills fans pointed out, Buffalo wideout John Brown roasted Gilmore on a very similar route last season.

But that's all the more reason for the three-time Pro Bowler to work on not getting beat on that route again -- a task he's already started this offseason, according to this film breakdown session with NFL Network's Brian Baldinger he did earlier this year.

Diggs running a post-corner route isn't exactly a state secret, and teams often don't practice their most coveted plays during sessions open to the media.

But as Gilmore's Patriots head coach would tell him, every chance to gain an edge is worth taking -- especially against an AFC East opponent.
