The New England Patriots didn't draft a quarterback with their fifth-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, but they did address a need by drafting a kicker.
Bill Belichick and the Patriots decided to add Marshall kicker Justin Rohrwasser with the 159th pick in the draft and he was the first kicker to be selected this year. In the 2019 season, he made 18 of 21 field-goal attempts and 35 of 36 extra points.

Rohrwasser becomes the frontrunner to take over the role previously held by Stephen Gostkowski, the team’s all-time leading scorer, who was released last month.
