The New England Patriots defense dominated the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, earning the team’s first shutout win since early in the 2016 season.
The Patriots tallied four interceptions, seven sacks and held the Dolphins to a 2-for-15 mark on third downs en route to a 43-0 victory.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, as he does each week, analyzed some of his team’s top plays alongside 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Scott Zolak. The defense was the focus of this week’s film review.

The Patriots have allowed just three points through the first two weeks of the season, and they are the first team since the 1981 Buffalo Bills to accomplish that feat in the Super Bowl era (1970 to present).
New England’s defense should continue to accomplish impressive feats when the injury-ravaged New York Jets come to Gillette Stadium for Sunday’s Week 3 matchup and likely start third-string quarterback Luke Falk.
