FOXBORO, Mass. -- Jarrett Stidham and Demaryius Thomas couldn't connect on a handoff in the first quarter of Thursday night's preseason finale and lost a fumble, which led to a New York Giants touchdown. It didn't take long for the duo to make up for its mistake.
Stidham found the veteran wide receiver down the right sideline for a 35-yard touchdown early in the second quarter. It was the rookie quarterback's third touchdown pass of the preseason and Thomas' first score of the summer.

The Patriots attempted a two-point conversion after the touchdown but Stidham's pass to Thomas fell incomplete.
UPDATE (Thursday, Aug. 29 at 8:44 p.m. ET): Stidham found Thomas for another touchdown later in the second quarter. Thomas fired the ball into the Gillette Stadium crowd after his 3-yard score.
