What's motivating Tom Brady to return? Patriots QB gives simple reason

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has won it all, literally.

The 41-year-old veteran claimed his sixth Super Bowl championship Sunday night with a 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. No one could blame him if he decided to retire right now, but he's been adamant all season, including the last few weeks, that he'll be back for the 2019 campaign.

So, what's motivating Brady to return and pursue a seventh Super Bowl? He gave a simple answer when asked by CBS' Jim Nantz after his sixth Super Bowl victory. Check it out in the video below.

Brady didn't play particularly well in Super Bowl LIII. He completed 21 of 35 passes for 262 yards with zero touchdowns and one interception. He did, however, make a few clutch passes during the Patriots' go-ahead drive in the fourth quarter, including a 29-yard strike to tight end Rob Gronkowski that put New England at the Rams' 2-yard line.

The Patriots will attempt to reach the Super Bowl for the fourth consecutive season in 2019, a feat only the Buffalo Bills have accomplished. It's one of the few goals left for Brady to pursue, but given the ultra competitiveness that drives him, you know he's going to fully embrace the challenge.
