WR Kendall Wright headlines group trying out for Patriots

A number of players are currently trying out for a spot with the Patriots, with perhaps the most notable name being wide receiver Kendall Wright.

ESPN's Mike Reiss reports Wright is joined by running back Kenjon Barner, defensive back Quin Blanding, running back Matthew Dayes, receiver Brandon Reilly, running back Aaron Ripkowski, linebacker Martrell Spaight, and linebacker Anthony Winbush.

Wright presents an intriguing option considering the Pats' lack of depth at the receiver position. The six-year veteran played five seasons with the Titans before moving on to play with the Bears in 2017 and racking up 59 catches for 614 yards and a touchdown.

The 28-year-old was cut by the Vikings over the weekend.
