UNCASVILLE, Conn. (May 18, 2017) – For the first time, 15 Connecticut Sun games will be televised on CSN New England during the 2017 season.

With a team on the court that’s on the rise, we want to share the journey of our 15th season with our fans and we’re excited to do that through this extensive broadcast package.”

One of the premier sports stations in the region, CSN New England will begin broadcasting games on May 26th, when Maya Moore and the Minnesota Lynx visit Mohegan Sun Arena. Other CSN New England broadcasts include games against Washington (5/31), San Antonio (6/3), Atlanta (6/10), Minnesota (6/17), New York (6/23), Dallas (6/25), Indiana (7/1), Washington (7/8), San Antonio (7/16), New York (7/19), Washington (7/28), Phoenix (8/4), Atlanta (8/15) and Phoenix (8/20). The games on June 3, 17 and 23 will be tape delayed.

WCCT-TV also returns as a broadcast partner of the Sun for three road games, beginning with Saturday’s game against the Indiana Fever from Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. WCCT-TV will also carry Sun games against the Chicago Sky on May 28th and the defending WNBA champion Los Angeles Sparks on September 3rd.

Beginning his 15th season with the Sun, Bob Heussler will deliver the play-by-play for all Sun broadcasts. He will partner with Sarah Kustok or Rebecca Lobo – respected analysts with extensive experience – throughout the 2017 season. Kustok works as a sideline reporter for the Brooklyn Nets, and she also worked for ESPN as an analyst and sideline reporter covering college football and men’s and women’s basketball. Lobo is an ESPN basketball analyst 2017 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, who led UConn to its first National Championship in 1995 before helping to launch the WNBA. She finished her playing career with the Connecticut Sun in 2003.
The first independently owned WNBA franchise, the Connecticut Sun opened its 15th season on May 13th against the Atlanta Dream. Second-year coach Curt Miller will guide a talented roster that returns eight players from last season – Jasmine Thomas, Alyssa Thomas, Alex Bentley, Morgan Tuck, Jonquel Jones, Courtney Williams, Rachel Banham and Shekinna Stricklen – along with newcomers Lynetta Kizer, Danielle Adams.
