Danielle Trotta joins NBC Sports Boston

BURLINGTON, MA, June 4, 2018 - NBC Sports Boston announced that on-air sports television personality Danielle Trotta will join the network beginning today, Monday, June 4, 2018.  Trotta will play a role in all of the network’s multi-platform programming offerings including her primary role as a new co-host of the network’s nightly studio show “Boston Sports Tonight”.

Prior to joining NBC Sports Boston, Trotta was most recently covering the auto-racing industry with roles at Sirus XM, co-host of NASCAR Race Hub and NASCAR Raceday Pre-race show on Fox Sports 1. Trotta started her career in high school, and after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, she worked for local station WBTV. She moved to Fox Sports in July 2010 where she had covered NASCAR and the NFL.

Exclusive NBC Sports Boston Two-Hour Documentary on the 2008 Celtics Championship Team - 10 Years Later - Featuring In-Depth Interviews with Players, Coaches, Executives & Media

BURLINGTON, MA, May 22, 2018– The 2007-2008 Boston Celtics Championship team finished their season with a record of 66 -16 -- posting the best single-season turnaround in NBA history, while also bringing Boston their first Championship title since 1986.  The team is still talked about today -- 10 years later -- as one of the first and most fascinating Super Teams of this era.

On Tuesday, May 29th at 8pm, NBC Sports Boston will debut a 2-hour documentary -- “Anything Is Possible: The Story of the 2008 Celtics” presented by Coastal Heritage Bank -- which begins its story back in 1986 after the Celtics won the NBA Finals and brings viewers through the years to 2008 when they won their next Championship.   This NBC Sports Boston-produced original documentary includes exclusive and insightful interviews with the team’s players and other key constituents and serves as a sequel to the network’s “The ’86 Celtics” documentary which debuted in 2016.

The documentary -- narrated by Boston native and Celtics fan Donnie Wahlberg -- features exclusive interviews from key members of the 2008 Celtics team including Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, and Kendrick Perkins. Also featured are role players James Posey, Eddie House, Glen “Big Baby” Davis, Leon Powe, Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine, plus key mid-season acquisitions P.J. Brown and Sam Cassell.  In addition, the film includes interviews and guest appearances from Coaches, Executives and Media including Doc Rivers, Tom Thibodeau, Danny Ainge, Wyc Grousbeck, Steve Pagliuca, Rich Gotham, Michael Holley, Marc J. Spears and more.

After its original debut on Tuesday, May 29th, the special will repeat throughout the following months, only on NBC Sports Boston (check local listings for airtimes).

NBC Sports Boston to televise 1st Round Playoff games with Mike, Tommy and Scal

The Boston Celtics will take on the Milwaukee Bucks in the First Round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs which tip-off this weekend and NBC Sports Boston -- the home of the Boston Celtics -- will bring fans the live call of several First Round games, plus one-hour Pregame and Postgame shows surrounding every matchup both on TV and online. To tip-off the Playoff excitement, NBC Sports Boston will bring viewers the Celtics Playoff Preview, a 60-minute special, scheduled to air Friday, April 13th at 8PM.
The Celtics Playoff Preview presented by New England Ford Dealers and Arbella Insurance, will originate from the NBC Sports Boston studios in Burlington, MA and will provide an in-depth look at the upcoming series from all NBC Sports Boston Celtics talent.  The special will include commentary and contributions from several guests and players and will feature an exclusive interview with Boston Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge.
NBC Sports Boston’s Playoff game schedule will include play-by-play from Mike Gorman (@celticsvoice) and color commentary from Tommy Heinsohn and Brian Scalabrine (@Scalabrine), with courtside reporter Abby Chin (@TVAbby), studio host Kyle Draper (@KyleDraperTV), and Celtics Insider A. Sherrod Blakely (@ASherrodblakely) bringing fans the best coverage throughout the series. Yahoo’s Chris Mannix (@ChrisMannixYS) will also contribute to Pre and Postgame shows.
