Alex Cora shares message for C's ahead of must-win Game 6

Alex Cora and the Boston Red Sox will be rooting on the Boston Celtics to force a Game 7 vs. the Golden State Warriors.

Ahead of Thursday night's must-win Game 6, Cora donned C's gear and shared a message for them as they look to keep their hopes for Banner 18 alive.

"Enjoy it, man. Enjoy it," the Red Sox manager said. "December 31, nobody thought that this team was gonna be here, right? And they're giving us Game 6. We'll be there, we're gonna enjoy it. And just have a blast with it, right? You're at home, it should be loud, it should be fun. Just push yourself to the limit. Embrace the journey, embrace the game, and hop on that plane tomorrow to San Fran. Make a Game 7."

Tomase: Yes, Devers really is taking longer home run trots

Cora led the Red Sox to a World Series title in 2018, his first season as manager. Ime Udoka is looking for an NBA championship in his inaugural season as Celtics head coach.

The St. Louis Cardinals also are in town to begin a series at Fenway Park on Friday. They'll join Cora and the Red Sox at a packed TD Garden for Game 6.

"There's a lot of people going," Cora said. "The Cardinals too. I heard that The Machine (Albert Pujols) got a suite for his team too, so should be fun."

Tip-off for Celtics-Warriors Game 6 is scheduled for just after 9 p.m. ET.
