Boston Red Sox first-round pick Triston Casas officially turned pro on Friday, reportedly for slot money. And with it, now commences the weighty expectations of whether he can infuse some life into what is regarded as among the weaker minor league systems talent-wise across the majors.

The 18-year-old Casas, a First Team All-USA selection this spring by USA Today, has demonstrated some above-average arm strength at the corner infield positions over his time at South Florida prep juggernaut American Heritage. But really, we're here to see the 6-foot-4, 240-pounder's impressive power from the left side of the plate, regarded among the best in the 2018 draft class and graded as a 70 by Baseball America on the classic 20-80 scale.
