Anyone up for a Hanley Ramirez return to the Red Sox?

He's available.

The Cleveland Indians have designated the former Red Sox first baseman/DH and left fielder (although him playing that position is best forgotten) for assignment, meaning they have 10 days to either trade, release or have the 15-year MLB veteran accept a minor league assignment at 35.

Ramirez went 9-for-49 (.184) with two homers, eight RBI and a .625 OPS in 16 games for the Indians. He was signed to a minor league contract in spring training and made Cleveland's Opening Day roster.

Ramirez was released by the Red Sox on May 30 last year after four seasons with the team and sat out the remainder of the 2018 season.

The three-time All-Star with the Marlins is a .289 career hitting with 271 homers and 917 RBI.  His best season in Boston was 2016 when he hit .286 with 30 homers, 111 RBI and an .866 OPS. He was drafted by the Red Sox and traded to the Marlins in the Josh Beckett deal before the 2006 season.
