You didn't expect Alex Cora to root against the Boston Bruins, did you?
The Boston Red Sox moved Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers up a few hours to accommodate the Bruins, who will take on the St. Louis Blues in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final down the street at TD Garden.
So, it's only natural Cora showed the B's some love ahead that monumental clash.
"They've worked so hard to get to this point, so I wish them luck," the Red Sox manager told reporters Wednesday afternoon at Fenway Park. "It would be amazing to have three trophies here in the city at the same time."
The Bruins can join the 2018 Red Sox and 2018 New England Patriots as the city's three concurrent title-holders with a win over the Blues on Wednesday night.
Cora believes it will happen, too. When pressed for a prediction, he offered this: "Bruins 4, Blues 1."
Cora may have had the 2018 World Series on the mind, as Boston won that series 4-1 over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The .500 Red Sox aren't exactly in championship form at the moment, but they're still all-in on the Bruins entering Wednesday night.
