Kiké Hernandez's 2021 MLB postseason performance is one of a kind.
The Boston Red Sox' utility man has been unstoppable through the American League Division Series and Game 1 of the ALCS. After racking up 10 hits between the Wild Card game and ALDS, Hernandez started out 3-for-3 vs. the Houston Astros on Friday night.
Hernandez led off the game with a single, then belted a homer and legged out a double in his next two at-bats. In doing so, he became the first player in MLB history to record 12 hits in a four-game span in a single postseason, per Red Sox Notes on Twitter.

Hernandez's 13 hits in the postseason are the most ever by a Red Sox player through the first six games of a playoff run, according to The Boston Globe's Alex Speier. David Ortiz previously held the record with 12 in the first six games of the 2004 postseason.
