Could Mitch Moreland return for another run with the Boston Red Sox in 2021?
According to Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com, the Red Sox have spoken with the 2018 World Series champion about a possible reunion.
Boston could use a left-handed hitting first baseman capable of providing some pop, and Moreland certainly fits that description. The 35-year-old veteran hit .328 with 8 home runs and 21 RBI through 22 games last season with the Red Sox before being traded to the San Diego Padres.
Moreland signed a one-year deal with the Red Sox last year in free agency.
