MLB Rumors: Zach Britton, David Robertson could end up with Red Sox

After missing out on Edwin Diaz (which is probably for the best) and a deal with Craig Kimbrel becoming more unlikely with each passing day, the Red Sox will once again be in the market for relief pitchers.

One option? Poaching some arms from the rival New York Yankees.

According to a report from the New York Post, the Yankees believe it's possible the Red Sox end up with reliever David Robertson.

MORE RED SOX

Robertson came to New York from Chicago in the Todd Frazier trade in 2017, and has been a serviceable reliever, appearing in 69 games last season and posting an ERA of 3.23. He also owns a house in Rhode Island, making Boston an attractive destination.

Another key member of the Yankees' bullpen, closer Zach Britton, is a free agent this offseason.

The Red Sox were rumored to be interested in Britton before the trade deadline this past summer, when he ultimately ended up in pinstripes.

With Craig Kimbrel possibly departing Boston, could the Sox be in the market to add both Robertson and Britton?
