Mookie Betts interviewed during Celtics game

The day before the biggest series of his young career, Mookie Betts decided to enjoy his evening at TD Garden, in attendance for the Celtics-Magic game.

In an interview with NBC Sports Boston's Abby Chin, Betts said that he's just trying to relax before the nerves kick in.

"[The nerves] are not here yet. Once we get to tomorrow, I think they'll definitely be ready to go."

While his nerves will inevitably set in for a championship run, Betts said that the team is plenty confident in their own ability to get the job done.

"[Our confidence] is sky-high, we have great group of guys and a great manager, great front office... there's no reason for us to not have confidence in ourselves."

There's been a lot of speculation that Betts might start at second base when the Sox head to L.A. When asked about the prospect, Betts laughed and responded, "Who knows, that's above my paygrade. I just go out and go wherever they tell me to go."

Betts also showed appreciation for the Boston fans who have stood behind his team throughout their historic season.

"We have the best fans in, really, all of sports... It's gonna be 40 degrees ,but I'm sure it's gonna be a packed house tomorrow."

History has shown that the weather has no impact on the drive of Boston sports fans to show out and support their team. Tuesday night should be a loud one at Fenway.
