Nathan Eovaldi to start Game 3 in New York

It looks like Nathan Eovaldi will get the ball to start Game 3 of the ALDS against the Yankees.

The Red Sox got a strong outing from Chris Sale in Game 1, but couldn't get more than three innings out of David Price.

Rick Porcello was the other option to start Game 3, but manager Alex Cora is going with the hard-throwing Eovaldi instead. Porcello made a relief apperance in Game 1, getting two outs in the eighth inning that set up Craig Kimbrel's save.

Eovaldi was acquired the Red Sox before the trade deadline for minor-league pitcher Jalen Beeks. In 11 starts Eovaldi was 3-3 with a 3.33 ERA.
