Nine years after retiring from MLB, Manny Ramirez will continue to crush baseballs overseas.
The 48-year-old Boston Red Sox legend signed a one-year deal with the Sydney Blue Sox the Australian Baseball League on Friday, per Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
Ramirez last played professional baseball in 2013 with the Fubon Guardians (then the EDA Rhinos) of Taiwan's Chinese Professional Baseball League. Prior to that, he played in the Dominican Winter League.
Ramirez joined the Red Sox in 2001, contributing to two World Series titles while recording 1,232 hits and 272 home runs during his eight-year tenure. He totaled 555 homers and 1,831 RBI during his illustrious 19-year career.
