Red Sox legend David Ortiz to lead free virtual Planet Fitness workout May 13

As gyms continue to be shut down due to COVID-19, it's difficult to maintain a workout routine and stay in shape.

Fortunately, David Ortiz is coming through in the clutch once again.

The Boston Red Sox legend will lead a free virtual "home work-in" with Planet Fitness on Wednesday, May 13. The 20-minute class does not require any equipment, so anyone can join in with Big Papi.

Ortiz's virtual workout will take place on the Planet Fitness Facebook page at 7 p.m. You can also check it out on the gym's YouTube channel if you're unable to catch it live. Even if you're not in the mood to work out, Ortiz probably still will make it worth the watch.

The three-time World Series champion isn't the only Boston star to lead one of Planet Fitness' virtual "work-ins". New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman and ex-Patriot Danny Amendola both have led classes to help folks get some exercise in while quarantining.
