New England Patriots fans won't have the opportunity to watch their team play in Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 2, but they will see a Boston sports legend on their televisions.

Former Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz is going to star in Hyundai's Super Bowl commercial. In the ad, Ortiz works on his Boston accent, and that, of course, means dropping his "R's".

Here are some additional details about the commercial, per Hyundai.

The 60-second comedic ad that will run in the first quarter of the game will feature a cast of well-known Boston celebrities including Chris Evans, John Krasinski, Saturday Night Live alum Rachel Dratch and Boston Red Sox legend David Ortiz. The final ad will make its world premiere during the Super Bowl Greatest Commercials 2020 special on the CBS Television Network on Monday, Jan. 27 from 9-10 p.m. ET/PT, which will also include an exclusive behind-the-scenes segment on the making of the spot.

Ortiz, who retired from the Red Sox after the 2016 campaign, played 14 seasons for Boston and helped the franchise win three World Series championships. He is one of the most beloved figures in Boston sports history.
