Red Sox set starting rotation for Dodgers series after the All-Star break

The Red Sox set their starting rotation for when they return from the All-Star break and face off with the Dodgers in a World Series rematch.

According to Pete Abraham, the Red Sox will go with Eduardo Rodriguez, Chris Sale and David Price against the league-best Dodgers.

The last time the two faced each other was in the 2018 World Series, where the Sox dispatched the Dodgers in five games to capture their fourth championship in 15 years. The 2019 season hasn't gone exactly how Boston had hoped, sitting in third place in the AL East and at risk of missing the postseason.

LA, on the other hand, is sporting the best record in baseball while showing no signs of slowing down. Cody Bellinger is an MVP candidate and Walker Buehler has followed up a strong rookie season with an All-Star selection in 2019.

The Red Sox will need every game they can get down the stretch of the season, and a three-game tilt against a team like the Dodgers could make or break Boston's year depending on the outcome.

At least they'll have two of their best pitchers on the mound when the Dodgers come to town.
